My name is Janis Mavros and I was born in Germany. In 1976 - at the age of twelve - me and my family moved to Rethymno, the birthplace of my mother. After finishing comprehensive secondary school I visited the tourist guide academy and worked six years as a guide for major tour operators. Since 1986 my schoolmate George Lagoudakis, long time experienced in automobile trade, and me are running the car rental agency AUTOWAY, located at Adele Kampos about six kilometers east of Rethymno.

Then starting with 4 cars, now our customers may choose from a fleet of 200 vehicles of all classes. Our head office is located at 74100 Rethymnon, "Sof. Venizelou" Street 72. There you can get through to us by dialing +30 (28310) 54105 or 55712.

By the way: our 1999 opened branch office is managed by my mother Mrs. Roula Markatsaki, who already conducted our business in 1986 (when George and me are working in parallel in our trained jobs).

In other words: AUTOWAY is a family run business! Most of the staff members are present for more than 10 years. Due to our good service, the human factor in our business and the personal contact to our customers we grew up to one of the biggest local car rental companies.
